Terms
Last updated: 13 April 2026
These terms apply to everyone involved in the Australian AI Safety Forum (“the Forum”) — purchasers, attendees, speakers, and anyone else on the official program. Purchasing a ticket or registering means you agree to these terms. Each attendee also accepts the Code of Conduct when they first sign in.
1. The event
Specific dates, venue, and program for each Forum (and any related summits or events) are published on the relevant registration and program pages. Programs and speaker lineups may change at our discretion.
2. Tickets and registration
A ticket admits one named person and is non-transferable. If you can't attend, see the refund rules below.
If you are purchasing for teammates or colleagues, you confirm they've agreed to be registered and to receive event emails from us.
3. Payment
Prices are in Australian Dollars and include 10% GST. Payment is processed by Stripe or via invoice (bank transfer). Orders are not confirmed until payment is received.
4. Refunds and cancellations
You can cancel your ticket and receive a full refund (minus payment processing fees) any time up to the start of the event, directly from your dashboard. Refund requests after the event has started are reviewed case-by-case at our discretion — please contact contact@aisafetyforum.au.
If we cancel or substantially change the event, you receive a full refund.
These rules don't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Attendee directory and the official program
The attendee directory is opt-in — every attendee chooses their own visibility. If you're on the official program (speaker, panellist, or facilitator), your details are separately published on the program page and in related marketing materials for the event — see our Privacy page.
6. Code of Conduct
Every attendee must accept the Code of Conduct before attending. Breaches may result in removal from the event without refund and, at our discretion, a ban from future events.
7. Photography and recording
By attending, you accept that general audience photography and session recording may occur. See our Privacy page for how to opt out.
8. Liability
You attend the Forum at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, neither Gradient Institute Ltd nor the organising committee is liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from attendance, other than where caused by our negligence or breach of statutory guarantees under Australian consumer law.
9. Travel and visas
You are responsible for your own travel, accommodation, and visa arrangements. A participation letter is provided on registration but does not guarantee visa approval.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms before the event. Material changes will be communicated by email.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
