AI Safety: Privacy, Data and Cybersecurity in the Age of Intelligent Systems

We have a written proposal prepared. Please share your email address for submitting. We propose a hybrid between a Tabletop exercise and panel discussion with high audience participation (based on our session at SXSW). Session Overview AI systems are now embedded across organisational workflows, yet most governance, privacy and cybersecurity frameworks were never designed for autonomous, data hungry, vendor dependent technologies. The result: AI is accelerating long standing organisational weaknesses—data leakage, insecure integrations, opaque supply chains, unclear accountability and overconfidence in automated outputs. This session examines AI safety through the intersecting lenses of privacy, data governance, cybersecurity, and software supply chain resilience. Using realistic scenarios, the panel will explore how AI systems create new attack surfaces, amplify poor quality data, complicate incident response, and expose organisations to regulatory, operational and national security risks. The discussion is designed to be practical, provocative and cross disciplinary, giving legal, risk, cyber, governance and executive leaders a clear view of what “safe AI” requires in real world.
