Building FAR.AI, a ~45 person technical AI research non-profit working to facilitate breakthrough research, foster a coordinated global response, and advance understanding of AI risks and solutions. We do foundational research, pre and post-deployment testing with frontier labs, and partner with government agencies including the EU AI Office, UK AISI, Singapore CSA/AISI, and US NIST. We also run a global series of events.

FAR.AI is a research and education non profit based in Berkeley, CA (USA). This talk will share some updates and lessons from our ~3 years of operation, and then touch on some opportunities Australia has.
Office Hours
There isn't time for everyone to meet every speaker one-on-one, so several have set aside time to sit a table and take questions. Pull up a chair, ask what you've been wanting to ask, or just listen in as others do — the format is informal and the conversation goes where the room takes it. A good chance to follow a thread from a talk, test an idea, or get a direct answer on something the schedule didn't cover. Come and go as you like.
