Dr Shahroz Tariq is a Research Scientist at CSIRO in Sydney, working at the intersection of trustworthy AI and cybersecurity. His research focuses on AI security, deepfake and generative media forensics, continual learning, explainable AI, and human–AI collaboration for high-stakes operational environments such as security operations centres and digital media ecosystems. Shahroz received the Australian AI Awards 2025 “AI Rising Star of the Year” for his contributions to trustworthy AI. His research has been published in leading venues including NeurIPS, IEEE S&P, KDD, WWW, and ACM Multimedia.
