I am pitching a 20-30 min session which builds off the research project I am commencing in June on middle power coordination, where I will be investigating opportunities to advance frontier AI governance practices and frameworks internationally. Potential issues include: priority areas of governance research e.g. hardware verification. I will discuss how Australia fits into this picture, our unique value-add, and our roles in international forums (e.g. Submit series; AISI Network) to facilitate further collaboration in the context of increasing geopolitical competition.
